The Sunriver Quilt Show and Sale is a free event presented annually since 1988 by Mountain Meadow Quilters and the Village at Sunriver. Over 200 quilts, some offered for sale, all made by MMQ members, will be displayed throughout the Village. Several special exhibits will be part of the show, exhibits of class projects, appliquéd Hawaiian-style quilts and quilts based on the theme “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”. Gorgeous handcrafted items made by members will be for sale. Proceeds from the sales will support the group’s educational activities and service projects. There will also be vendors of quilting/sewing related merchandise.
Mountain Meadow Quilters is a group of over 100 quilters who meet twice monthly on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month with treats and conversation at 9:30 a.m. and a meeting starting at 10:00 a.m.
Our mission is to promote the art of quilt making through education and charitable giving. All levels of skill and ability are encouraged and supported. The guild engages in selected charitable endeavors in Central Oregon. Hundreds of quilts and other handmade items have been donated to area organizations such as Grandma’s House, Friends of the Children, foster children, KIDS center, JBarJ Youth Services, Bethlehem Inn,veterans’ groups and others. These donations are supported by the proceeds from the bazaar.
